The ministry of music is an essential part of our religious life. Through our hymns, we worship the Lord, our God. We give thanks, we ask for blessing, we renew our faith, and we express the joy of Orthodox Christian fellowship.

We are proud to have one of New Yorks’ most accomplished and beautiful Greek Orthodox church choirs.

The Zoodohos Peghe Choir presents traditional Byzantine Hymnody by the Organist and Director, Ron Petrides.

Those who contribute to our year-round music program and who deserve our thanks for a job well done include:
Stamatios Gikas, our Mega Protopsalti
Ron Petrides, our Choir Director and Organist

And the members of the Choir:

Catherine Kaganis Mary Paraskevaides
Mary Vlahos Julie Sarris
Stephanie Karounos Olga Zelatis
Maria Papazahariou Susan Korres
Paul Karasairides Angela Karounos
Athena Longoria Tatum Tullis

Interested parties of all ages are encouraged to become part of this ministry.
As a member of the choir, you will meet people with similar interests
and enjoy a wonderful fellowship.
To join our choir please see Fr. Sylvester or the Director, Ron Petrides.

Rehearsals are held weekly Wednesday evenings @ 7:00 pm.
